Check Valve Switch flow calculation

I have a check valve (air) that I would like to compute the air flow at which the check valve is activated. It is used to maintain a safe level of vacuum in a system. The valve is normally closed (no air flow) and it is open when the pressure on both sides is equal (vacuum). The spring constant is known so are the diameter on both inlet/outlet orifices. I have no instruments to establish the flow so I would like to solve it mathematically. Any reference, examples will be greatly appreciated.

I try to establish a example here to understand the Check valve switch flow calculation here.

    Hello, I'm trying to use box2d (porting for dellphi) for kinematic and dynamic simulations of linkages, and it looks very powerful and nice to use. I've to treat linkages smaller then 1 m, with bodies often smaller than 0.05m, and because of the limitation from 0.1 to 10 m, there are very big errors in collision and joint evaluation. Is there a way for increasing the precision of the calculation for small objects, also accepting a very slow evaluation process? Any help will be apprecited.
